Buiano
Lime mortar foundations of a Roman building and a semicircular brick structure were brought to light in the area facing and below the present building of the Romanesque pieve of Buiano. These structures rest on a previous layer which includes a dry wall.

This layer produced a red-figured "Kylix" fragment which can be dated back to the beginning of the IV Century B.C.: the only find of its kind discovered in Casentino. In the present state of research, nothing definite has been proposed about this find which, probably was imported.
